Domain names for this project containing the term “Stasi” — including stasihaft.de, stasi-haft.com and stasi-prison.com — belong to a privately operated autobiographical website by Mario V.W.B.R. Obst. The website documents and examines his personal past in the context of the former German Democratic Republic.
There is no affiliation with any state institution, authority, party, brand or successor organisation of the GDR. The term “Stasi” is used exclusively in its historical and everyday meaning as the common name for the former East German Ministry for State Security.

The content combines personal recollections, surviving documents and historical context. Subjective memories and assessments are not presented as official or institutional statements. The website makes no claim to scholarly comprehensiveness.
